In Spring 2023, I realized our YT channels weren't realizing their full potential. 

I was curious to know what we could accomplish if we implemented new standards and best practices. So, I did some research and executed a data-driven strategy. 

This strategy is now being applied across the PANW YouTube universe based on my recommendations and established best practices, affecting eight channels and almost 100k subscribers.

Objectives and Key Results for over 200 videos:

  • Content Audit: Removed or updated outdated content 

    • Applied industry and video best practices for all new and existing content

  • Customer-First Content

    • What are customer/prospect pain points?

      • How are people searching/using YouTube to find answers?
        • How can we make finding the answers an experience - not a chore or another pain?
  • Work the Algorithm
    • Apply SEO-focused titles, descriptions, tags, hashtags, timestamps, and links to owned social spaces

    • CTAs to drive traffic and subscriptions

    • End screens, cards

    • Descriptions of products, services, company

    • Transcript files, closed captions, accessibility

What happened? 

Our videos were:

Watched more.

Watched for longer

Watched by and recommended to more people in our target audiences.

More engaged with

And viewers became more aware of our brand. Regardless of where they are in the sales cycle, this increase in exposure means WE are top of mind.
